Personal Home Theatre Movie Tribute Intro - 720p

Here's a video I cut together 12 years ago as my own personal "pre-feature" intro for when I watch movies in my home theatre. I have up-res'd the video to 720p. Still not technically HD, but it's better than the 240p version from 12 years. Have at it.

Personal Home Theatre Movie Tribute Intro
Wow what a Gem!
It’s a shame how Lucas treated these versions of the OT. They are certainly superior to the Special Editions.
Wow! That's really cool! I like it! It would be really neat to find a way to light up the marquee. Thanks for sharing!
@squire87 Hey I keep getting dropouts on Big Buck using geekworm V20 board through a TV. If I can get my hands on same kit as you have there, would it remove all blackouts/dropout flickering, have you tested it on many occasions with no drop out black screen? Thanks
It should. I have had it running for nearly 2 months now. My wife and I both play it often - sometimes together, sometimes apart - and neither of us have experienced any dropout/black screen.
Hey...First off, your build is outstanding. Legitimately pro level. I have a 2nd Big Buck Hunter that I haven't built yet, but now I know exactly what I'm going to do. I have a few questions though, if that's ok. 1) Is there a cap on the size of the screen? I have a 42" Vizio that I'm just not using, but would happily use for this. 2) I think you're on to something regarding the powered hdmi/dvi adapter cable and how you've eliminated signal loss or degredation. Do you think doing the same thing with just a powered hdmi cable would have the same results, or is there something inherent in the DVI standard or interface? Anyway, great video and I'm happy to subscribe. Thank you!
Cheers and thanks for the kind words! I don't believe the size matters, as the signal itself doesn't discriminate. That said, it seems like those who struggle with intermittent signal dropout are using a TV rather than a computer monitor. Further, I'm using an HDMI to DisplayPort (not DVI) adapter cable, which is designed to be powered because it won't work otherwise. I suppose a "powered HDMI" theoretically might work, but idk such a thing exists. Imo, you're better off going with the largest computer monitor you can find that also has a DisplayPort input. Of course, if you don't care about the intermittent signal dropout, go the TV route.
Hi! So I have a 31 inch displayport monitor, I ordered the lvds2 from geekworm and the powered HDMI to dp adapter you used...but no luck. I noticed space to add jumpers on the lvds board... can you tell me if you did anything specific with your lvds board? I've tried on 2 separate Buck Hunter pcbs, and two different monitors with DP, nothing (they work just fine with the stock A1up monitors)
@@IrishApe1976 Are you getting sound, but just no picture? If so, after it's booted up the game, try unplugging the USB from it's power adapter and plugging it back in. I've found this sometimes "cycles" the signal.
@@IrishApe1976 Hi there. Sorry to hear you're not having much luck. These boards are very finicky, especially in marrying up with a compatible monitor. My guess is that that's the issue. I can only attest to my own experience, which is with the Dell monitor I used in the video. If I were you I would either find the exact monitor I used, or just keep your eye out for other potential options until you find one that works.
This is why the original movie became so legendary... He had more background material than could be used in a single movie, which I would argue is why that first movie was so successful and anything before or after, not so much. He told the whole story in the first movie. If he would have been able to tell it in three movies originally, we would not have gotten the epic original we did.
Cuando se trabajaba cuando hera América
I love how George Lucas' career goes in this eccentric orbit of beloved, despised, beloved, despised, and now beloved again. He's a very human being who enjoys the worship as much as he hates the criticism. Here we see him in the second "Worshipped George" era. Look upon him at the height of his powers. Before the dark times. Before the prequels.
He kept saying I'm still interested in directing. I want to make other films. George if you actually kept on directing tge prequels may have been better films.
Wow, I’m in Delaware and I cross this bridge at lease twice a week for work.
What part of de? I live near seaford and cross the bridge a lot :)
I have a copy of this !!!
So, JE Grinner Co and Bethlehem Steel are who to blame.
If they used a computer with a 3D rendering they would have realized they should have made the walls higher
Idk why ppl.say this is scary ...I live in md i love crossing it
It was a wonderful place to grow up. I prefer to remember Bawlmer the way she was in the late '60's to the late '70's.
Piccolo Film in Germany also released a 400 version. The edit is different with the original opening title. You could edit both the Universal and Piccolo version into a 600 edited feature.
Just watched and this was super fun. I love early 2000s horror and this was a great throwback. You guys did an amazing job.
Appreciate your kind words. So glad you enjoyed the film!
Much of talbot county and kent island is now vacation homes now thanks to this bridge
Must've been a scary job.. i wonder if there were any tragedies during the building/proccess of assembling this bridge 😮
Ever since then it has become one of the most scariest bridges to cross in America. But i like this design, and its construction. On the shores it gives a nice view of the bridge from here.
It Figures the oldest footage still gives the best coverage and description. Thanks😊
I think it is interesting originally George Lucas was going to end the prequel with a Ten year old Luke. He also was going to have a teenage Han Solo.
The issue with the first bridge was it was to small (no emergency lanes). Also the suspension bride section's road deck is boxed in with beams and they obstructs the view of the bay.
Trying to find video of actual construction of bridge and tunnel. Any one have a good website for that??? Thanks so much
I found it right here. Sorry Awesome thanks
I remember skipping these as a 8yo when the 1995 VHS tapes came out. Now, here I am as an adult seeking them out and watching them.
Thank you for posting! ❤
If only he would’ve kept the rights lol
I wonder what the Star Wars series would be like if United Artists or Universal said yes?
put a mini pc inside for clone hero
I remember watching the trilogy on vhs so many times and saw George Lucas being interviewed that just makes me feel amazing
The are dressed very much the same way:) Looks like a mirror match, or Eric Clapton interviewing George Lucas either way. George is a Genius
I think it’s crazy how old the bridge is I’ve been across it tons of times
Also remember the May Day Fair ( May 1st) in Mount Vernon Washington monument.
When I was about 5 years old I traveled via ferry across the Chesapeake. The bridge was still under construction but was almost completed. My dad talked to me about the difficulty of construction.
September 2022 and I still wants to watch this movie all over again.
It's now streaming on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and several other platforms!
Wow this was great! Thank you for sharing this . I drive across it every week for work and have made over 900 trips . Always one of my favorite parts of the week!.
Τhank you!
Battle of the Beards
This was a perfect day for a family. Nowadays you don't see this you half to dodge bullets or be afraid of a deadly virus in crowds or someone tryna kidnap you or your child or jack your car when u go home what a sad society we have become
Wow, I’m from Annapolis and have never seen this documentary
Whenever I think my job is dangerous, I will watch this documentary from now on.
Whatever happened to blimps? Used to see blimps all the time, especially during special events. But not anymore.😢
Its like poetry it rhymes...
To do the same thing today most everything would have to be imported because we no longer make anything.
True genius. One of my heroes.
This is great docu. Thanks for posting
I have 3 copies now on super 8mm. One silent 200', Sound 200' and the 400' version
I love how they draw pictures like your actually explaining how you drive 40 foot wooden poles into a lake bed ?? Lol
70 years later the bridge is nearing the end of its service life and is in need of replacement
Let it go from which it came.
Nah, this bridge isn't past it's service life, the Golden Gate bridge is older and still being used today.
@@deltaboy767 it only has 2 lanes and both of the bridges are constantly a bottleneck for traffic. They were looking into doing a feasibility study for a new bridge to replace both, but I’m guessing that has been shelved or cancelled after the key bridge collapse
@@theresalwaystrainsintetonv69 Have you ever been across the Golden Gate bridge? It's also 2 lane in one direction and 2 lanes In the other, and it was built in 1918. Well over 100 years and still serving it's purpose.
@@deltaboy767the Golden Gate Bridge was built in the 30’s, and has more than 2 lanes of traffic in either direction
My favorite movie saga is Lord of the Rings, but Star Wars is definitely up there with it. Lord of the Rings and Star Wars are the two best sagas of all team, and both of them have a better love story than Twilight (but then again, anything’s a better love story than Twilight).
